It Support Technician

Our dynamic client is looking for a 2nd Line Support Technician to work within their very glamorous and trendy offices on the outskirts of Walton. The hours of work are 06.00 - 14.30pm Monday to Friday and this is non negotiable. Ideal for any school pick ups :-)

Main tasks and responsibilities:

* Infrastructure support

* Veaam backup: maintain all back-ups – Cloud/Tape and administration

* Kaspersky – Administrate security centre and maintain anti-virus software on endpoints

* Understanding of Dell server stack – (Esxi hosts, PowerEdge blades, SAN)

* VMware – creating new hosts, snapshots, Vmotion and redundancy

* Install and configure various software programs and hardware devices for Microsoft platform

* Windows updates and desktop maintenance (image backups, hardware)

* Specify, configure and install new desktops and user profiles

* Service desk administration

* Respond to tickets, maintain SLA on response times.

* Act as pivot and escalate issues to 2nd tier support and 3rd party vendors

* SAP B1 and PLM systems pivot to third party vendors/support

* Maintain service desk and infrastructure documentation and procedures
