My Choice Children’s Homes is an established private organisation that provides residential care for 'Looked After Children' we have children's homes that are two to four bedded located in East / West Sussex and Surrey with a new four bedded home about to open this spring in West Sussex!

We are looking for a Diploma Assessor to support learners to achieve the Level 3 diploma, children and young people’s workforce qualification, for up to 50 learners annually. In addition to the level 3 support there will also be a need to support managers with the level 5 diploma, leadership and management qualification. This role also entails undertaking workshops at Head Office and one to one work with the staff member.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with adult learners delivering NVQ’s or diplomas in a Health and Social Care/Childcare setting and have excellent working knowledge or related qualifications. You will be required to have excellent interpersonal skills and a professional and flexible approach. The role will involve meeting and working with employees both in the Homes and also at Head Office. This role is field based.

Our client is looking for a qualified or unqualified Health and Social Care Assessor to join their team in a field based role in Surrey.

It is preferred that candidates hold a CAVA / TAQA, A1 or D32/ D33 Assessing Award although for the right candidate full training and support can be provided.

Ideally you will have experience of working in a variety of environments and roles within residential and domiciliary care to managerial level with adult/elderly service users.

You will travel to meet learners that are completing Apprenticeships in their own place of work and you will also deliver Functional Skills.

This is a work based learning role so you will be travelling to meet with learners in their own place of work, normally at least 4 days of the week. An average caseload is 40 - 45 learners.

Role purpose

The role of a Trainer Assessor is at the coal face of this business. Hands-on and out in the field working with the learners and employers in their places of work, you will be responsible for supporting a caseload of learners through their qualifications.
Typical deliverables

*Marketing the organisation
*Signing learners onto Apprenticeships and other qualifications
*Completing and maintaining all paperwork
*Visiting learners at the workplace every 4-6 weeks
*Delivering functional skill components
*Mentoring and coaching learners with varying barriers to learning

Experience/Qualifications

*Experienced within your specialist vocational sector
*Experience working to a supervisory or managerial level
*Industry specific qualifications
*Assessing and/or teaching qualifications (desirable)
*Good IT skills

Holidays: 25 days p/a + Bank holidays

Salary:£19,000 - £28,000 p/a
