My client has a vacancy for a Marketing Assistant , who is experienced in working within the constraints of the FSA regulations.

Title: Assistant Consultant Investment Reporting & Marketing Document Production
Department: DC Marketing and Member Communications Services
Reports to: Senior Manager
The DC Marketing and Member Communications Services team produce a wide and growing range of investment reporting documents for institutional clients and a range of marketing documents and literature for members of the company’s DC pension schemes. The investment reporting documents include Quarterly Investment Reviews, fund factsheets, fund partner profiles and other investment related materials.

Purpose of your role
• Production of Quarterly Investment Reviews
• Production of marketing documents and literature

Your key accountabilities
Investment reporting documents
• You will be responsible for generating investment reporting through automated document production system, Pages, during the quarterly reporting cycle. • The whole process includes taking a document from the initial stages of agreeing the content (where necessary), through to arranging final signoff, and issue. The ability to pull together a document accurately within deadlines is essential
Marketing documents and literature
• You will be responsible for the production of a variety of marketing documents and literature. This includes automated document production through our automated document system Brochure Builder. In 2010/2011 this is likely to be supplemented by additional document production through Pages. There is also some manual document production generally produced in Word, with additional use of Excel (primarily for charts) and PowerPoint. These documents are then usually forwarded to external design agencies to create artwork versions of the documents
Project management
• You will be managing member communications projects, meeting targets in terms of day-to-day work-flows and new projects, using internal and external resources as necessary
Compliance
• Ensuring that the content of all documentation and other media is Compliant
• Adhering to internal quality procedures
• Assisting in the sign off of documents in accordance with the teams self sign off policy
• Understand and comply with rules including the Code of Ethics.

day-to-day tasks include
• Liaising with the Fund Partner Management Group, Production Support, Fund Analysis and Investment Marketing (FAIM), Investment Statistics, DC QIR Support and external design agencies
• Pulling data on company funds from systems
• Implementing any changes on fund data
• Creation of manually-produced documents using PowerPoint, Word and Excel accurately and to a deadline
• Running automated documents from the automation system
• Liaising with the Fund Partner Management Group for sign-off on templates
• Liaising with Relationship Directors and Client Service Managers in determining document requirements and arranging signoff

skills and experience
• Proven experience in financial services / investment management as a sound basic understanding of investment funds is essential
• Strong project management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Aptitude / experience in using computer systems for project / task based work
• Computer literate (good knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Ability to organise work to meet deadlines
• Focused on providing a high level customer service
• The ability to work individually as well as part of a team
• Good communication skills, verbal and written
• Proactive, willing to use initiative
• Experience with Pages would be beneficial.

Salary to 35k plus 15% bonus plus pension and PHI.
