The Company:
Our client is a successful practice with several offices, one of which is in Godalming in Surrey.
They specialise in the SME market with the larger clients being AIM and PLUS listed. They are a general practice with a wider ranging client base which includes most industries and service sectors.
The Role:
As part of their growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Audit Supervisor to work between the trainees, seniors and the existing three Managers (of which two are audit biased).
The audit department at this office is overseen by three Partners of which two are more heavily involved in audit.
It is their hope that the successful candidate would want to progress to a managerial position in due course.
90% of this role is audit based with the remainder involving reviewing/finalising prepared financial statements and some involvement with corporate tax computations/review.
You will be both planning and completing audits with the assistance of staff from Godalming and any other offices as you require and depending on the specific audit, its size and location.
Their software of choice is SAPA and Pro Audit.
The Candidate:
The right candidate will be qualified with the ICAEW, ICAS or ACCA.
You must be working in a heavily audit related role and preferably not from the Big 4.
Previously experience of SAPA and Pro Audit would be ideal but isn’t essential.
You will be personable, able to deal with clients successfully and have the aspiration to become a Manager in due course.
