Our client is an established and expanding risk and restructuring practice based in the City of London. They are currently seeking a hardworking and dedicated individual to join one of their teams as a Case Administrator/Team Leader
Insolvency Case Administrator duties
• Preparation of statutory notices and forms in accordance with the Insolvency Act
• Preparing non Insolvency Act statutory returns such as VAT returns and CT returns
• Preparation of correspondence with creditors and debtors
• Preparing S98, SIP 16, Para 49 and subsequent progress reports
• Preparation of statement of affairs
• Liaising with creditors and debtors by phone and by e-mail
• Undertaking file reviews in accordance with the firms policy and procedures
• Ensuring cases remain fully compliant at all times and that all statutory filing deadlines are met
• Preparing case related bank reconciliations
• Processing all case related receipts and payments ensuring they are correctly recorded on the case management system
• Assisting in office administration duties, including answering the phones and other general duties
• Attendance at client sites and out of office meetings at short notice
Insolvency Case Administrator - Team Leader duties
• All of the above but with a lesser degree of manager supervision
• Chairing meetings of creditors depending on complexity of case
• Leading smaller cases unsupervised by a manager
• Preparation of cash flow and P&L trading forecasts
• Reporting directly to relevant partner
• Organising/attending peer group networking
Due to the nature of the role, they require a confident candidate educated to degree level (or equivalent) who is seeking a career within this industry.
Ideally the chosen candidate will have strong experience in corporate insolvency and a background in an insolvency boutique, or an independent or mid-tier firm. (However all applications will be considered)
You will be required to work on your own case load, progressing each one from administration to closure. You will have regular contact with debtors and creditors, handling challenging and difficult situations with care and empathy.
